The good news for young people and parents in America is that consent, relationship navigation and ending sexual assault on campuses is trending. Let’s hope the statistic that one in five women are sexually assaulted in college, but more than 90 percent of victims do not report the crime, can be downgraded*.
This hits home as I have young nieces and friends whos children are approaching going off to college or starting to date. A goal of society should be to keep youthful relationships fun, exciting, healthy and playful and not a potential tragedy in the making because kids are left to wing it, the way many of us were. Preparation is the key to success in business and personal lives.
